Mandy | Senior Portraits |

The other day I met up with Mandy to shoot her senior portraits. We both arrived on scene to find that the wind was blowing like CRAZY!! We decided to shoot anyways which was good since the wind ended up working in our favor. We had a blast shooting, and I swear Mandy was a master at posing. Every few seconds she was changing it up like a pro! It was awesome. We had to laugh when my socks and shoes were completely destroyed from the foxtails that are all over in the field. Other than that the shoot was amazing. Congrats to Mandy on her graduation!!

Kristy is a proud senior graduating from Santiago High School. It was awesome to shoot Kristy, because I have known her since she was a little kid. Turns out if you tell Kristy to be serious, she will crack the biggest smile ever, yelling "I don't know how to do that!" My eight year old brother/side kick Blake made our day interesting by dancing the hillbilly hoedown, which kept us laughing! Congratulations, Kristy!

I love Kyle and Emily! I had such an amazing time photographing their engagement photos. The entire time we were laughing and having fun talking about anacondas and tarantulas! I seriously can't wait to shoot their wedding, which is at the beautiful Santa Margarita Ranch near San Luis Obispo.

WOW! It's been a loooong time since I posted. School has really been taking up my time lately, but I have been able to squeeze in a few shoots here and there. On Easter, I did college senior portraits for my beautiful girlfriend Brittany and her best friend Whitney. After high school they both found out they were going to Cal State Fullerton and decided to be roommates. After spending 5 years together, they have practically become sisters. They even look alike, constantly being mistaken for twins whenever they go out. They both are graduating next month, Britt will have a degree in Women's Studies and Whit will have a degree in Theater. While standing in the field we suddenly found that all of us were unable to keep our balance, and soon realized that we were having an earthquake! After about a minute of feeling as if we were on a boat, the shaking stopped and the shoot went on. It was pretty crazy standing in a field and feeling the ground moving under your feet. The shoot went well and it was fun working with the girls. I can't wait for their graduation parties!

Meagan & Thomas | Love Shoot |

Amazing. Loving. Happy. Energetic. Joyful ... explains Meagan and Thomas. This couple has an unbelievable connection that shows in every one of their pictures. We had such a great time shooting at several locations in Orange County, with a BBQ dinner in the mix. Meagan, who is the creative visual designer for Anthropologie at Fashion Island, and my girlfriend, Brittany, came up with some creative concepts and decorations. This love shoot with Meagan and Thomas was so much fun ... running through fields, sifting through leaves, oh and did I mention that Brittany's little brother came to help shoot black and white film with the holga camera, which kept Thomas and Meagan cracking up. I can't wait to shoot this amazing couple in the future.

Last week I got to shoot Leila's senior portraits. She is graduating from Cal Baptist University with a degree in Psychology. I got to the campus early and walked around checking things out. I couldn't believe how nice the campus is, it looks brand new! After meeting up we drove to this amazing grassy fields not too far away and got some really great shots. Even though we swore there were snakes, Leila was a good sport trucking it through the grass and was awesome to shoot with.

Great-Great-Grandma

Last weekend my sister Andrea brought out her new baby, Tre, to California for the first time. We were all so excited for our Grandma Dee Dee to see the new baby. For those of you who don't know, Dee Dee is my great-grandma who is 97 years old! It's crazy because she looks so young and is so up to date with what's going on. She told my cousin that she thinks the Black Eyed Peas are just wonderful! haha. She is really amazing. This photo means so much to me and my family so I thought I would share it.

A while back I had the pleasure of photographing this little stud, Kingston. While taking pictures, it was funny to remember how much joy and laughter kids get from certain things. Whether it is blowing bubbles, feeding the ducks, or just eating a sucker, they always seem to smile! As always, I had a great time getting to know him and watch him smile and get stoked, especially when he found out there were ducks to feed there!

On Valentines day Laura and Adam asked me to shoot their beautiful little girl, Dakota, for her 3 month portraits. Well I spent the afternoon with her at the park and it was crazy how she acted like a little model. After almost every click of the button she would change poses! LOL. It was pretty awesome. They are such a cute family and we had a blast with little baby Dakota.

Matt & Madison | Valentine Love Shoot |

When Madison told me that she wanted to do a love shoot with Matt, my only demand was that he had to bring his guitar and sing about "..the doggies and the kitties in the ocean..." Matt is absolutely ridiculous and knows how to make Madison laugh hysterically. We ended up having such a fun time walking around the fields and singing songs about animals that I could barely take pictures because I kept laughing.

Last week I met up with Lexi and her baby girl Autumn Rose to shoot some portraits. We spent an entire morning at the park walking around and taking pictures. Eventually all the action made Autumn so tired that she passed out on her blanket. While she was sleeping i was able to sneak some up close shots of her face. The whole morning was so fun, and she is such a good baby it made the shoot super easy.

Ryan & Joanna | Wedding |

On the twenty-ninth of January I got to shoot Ryan and Joanna's big day at the Fox Theatre in Downtown Redlands. They are such a great couple and are always smiling and laughing at each other. They each had a huge group of friends in their wedding parties which helped make the day memorable. On the guys side things were pretty crazy! From guns and spikes, to Darth Vader music, the guys were sure to make a lasting impression on wedding history. The girls didn't hold back either as we stopped traffic to cross the street for some group shots. Overall the day was very exciting and I am so happy for the two of them!

Brittany's friend from work, Melanee, has told us about her little boy Ryder for a long time. She has told us all about him wearing superman shirts everyday, or his boots, and his cute little voice. So yesterday we went over to her house to take some shots of him, and we actually ended up playing and hanging out more than taking photos. He is such a crazy little guy and it's so funny to listen to him repeat everything you say. We ended up playing at this park area and taking some shots of Ryder and his amazing dog, Cash. Lets just say that shooting toddlers is an entirely different experience, challenging but fun!

A few weeks ago I got to shoot Kris and Ross' engagement shoot in Downtown Redlands. It was a pretty good experience other than the fact that halfway through the shoot a homeless man decided that he would walk right in front of me and stare at his map for a few minutes. After trying to talk to him he finally just moved on down the road. We started shooting at their new house which had a few spots to shoot in the backyard. Kris and Ross are seriously an amazing couple. Both of them are super cool and really got into the shoot. I cant wait for their wedding becuase I'm sure it will be a blast. After the shoot Ross (diehard cowboys fan) bet me lunch that the Cowboys would beat the Vikings, which they didn't, and now he owes me Chipotle while he wears a Vikings jersey!

My New Nephew | Baby Tre |

On Friday the 15th, my sister Andrea had her first baby, Clifton Robert Clark III or Tre. Me and Britt drove out to Vegas on Wednesday evening and hung out with her for a few days before her delivery. Seeing my sister and her boyfriend Clif with their new baby was pretty awesome. He was born at 1:08 p.m. weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces and 19 inches long. It was really cool getting to hold him and help feed him and everything. Cant wait to go back to vegas and have some fun playing with Baby Tre. Oh did I mention he's the cutest thing ever!!

500 Days Of Summer

When this movie came out in theaters it wasn't playing anywhere. Randomly when I was driving to work I saw that Lido Theatre was showing it. I took Britt out on a date and we saw it and we LOVED it. Well it came out on DVD last week and we bought it, watched it, still great! If you haven't seen it yet, you better get a move on it!

Recently my good friend Andrew asked me to help him out by taking some photos for his portfolio. He is a musician and an aspiring model. The shoot with him was pretty refreshing because he knew exactly what he wanted and it wasn't awkward or anything. We had some good times cruising around the docks in newport getting weird looks from people and taking pictures! Who is Mike Radford?

It's actually Michael Randall Radford II! I am a 23 year old student and aspiring photographer. After a few years in college trying to figure out what i wanted to do as a career, I bought my first camera and immediately knew what i wanted to do, forever. My D80 got me pumped on photo. I was amazed at how i could be in full control of everything and make pictures and scenes look how i actually saw them, or better! I created this blog as a designated place to show my photos and get feedback. Recently i had to do a series of self portraits for my classes at school. Since this is like my introduction, it seems fitting to put them up as my first photos. Thanks for reading this and i hope you enjoy my photography!
